Lubricants
Excelsior has blower oil
and grease in stock and availabe for immediate shipment. Proper lubrication
is an essential part of every blower maintenance plan. Check you blower's O&M manual
for its factory recommended lubrication grade and schedule. We sell by the tube,
bottle, case and 5 gallon pail. Excelsior recommends Gardner Denver Aeon PD Synthetic
oil. It is rated for up to 6000 hours of service life, over triple that of regular
mineral oil, allowing for fewer oil changes. Aeon is specially formulated for blower
applications leading to a reduction in operating temperatures of up to 5% resulting
in longer blower life.
Air Filters
Excelsior has a large selection of
replacement filter elements in stock and available
for immediate shipment for Universal, Stoddard, Solberg and others. Filters
remove dirt, dust, pollen and other types of particles from the air stream. These
particles collect on the surface of the filter element. As they collect, they
block a portion
of the filter media and reduce the inlet pressure. This causes an increase in the
compression ratio which leads to higher temperatures. This not only increases power
usage but in extreme cases this can cause the blower to fail.
