Remove foam element from stainless steel center core. Wash element in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly in fresh water and wring out. Reinstall on stainless steel center core and set aside to dry. The element must be replaced when it shows signs of wear or decreased performance. Soak in hot water and detergent. After rinsing allow filter to dry. Adhesive (light oil) can then be applied at 1.5 to 2.0 OZ per element. Allow excess adhesive to drain off prior to installation.
